Flawless surface structure

High resistance to bending

Suitable for painted manufacturing
The finest regular density product is Thickpanel. Timberline's superior physical qualities and fine texture make it ideal for a variety of manufacturing, commercial, and construction applications.
STANDARD PRODUCTS
Thickpanel comes in a range of standard thicknesses ranging from 7.5mm to 30mm. 2440mm x 1220mm, 2440mm x 1830mm, and 3660mm x 1830mm are the common panel sizes. MDF panels that meet E1 (eight milligrammes per kilogramme) when tested according to EN 120:2004 and (0.5 to 1.5 milligrammes per litre) when tested according to JISA5905:2004 are also available.
STORING AND HANDLING MERBOK THICKPANELS
Thickpanel should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated location undercover. Sheets should be stored flat with support bearers that are evenly spaced at 600mm intervals and are uniformly and vertically aligned. All packing materials should be properly disposed of.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our products, including specifications, installation, usage, product features, and everything else you need to know.
What is MDF Thickpanel?
It has a fine, homogeneous texture and a uniform structure, making it suitable for applications where consistent machining and finishing are important.
What are the main benefits of MDF Thickpanel?
Its consistent structure makes it suitable for cutting, routing and other machining processes, while its smooth surface provides a suitable base for different finishing methods.
What makes MDF Thickpanel suitable for furniture and manufacturing?
The uniform composition also allows edges and surfaces to be processed for different designs, profiles and finishing requirements.
What is MDF Thickpanel commonly used for?
The appropriate thickness and finishing method should be selected according to the requirements of the particular project.
Is MDF Thickpanel suitable for detailed cutting and machining?
This makes it useful for applications involving shaped edges, decorative profiles and accurately manufactured furniture components. Appropriate tooling and machining techniques should be used to achieve the desired finish.
Does MDF Thickpanel provide a smooth surface for finishing?
Depending on the project, MDF can be painted, laminated, veneered or finished using other suitable surface treatments. Proper preparation and finishing procedures should be followed to achieve the desired result.
How durable is MDF Thickpanel?
When used within its intended interior applications and properly handled, its uniform structure provides reliable performance for furniture, cabinetry and other manufactured components. Like other standard MDF products, it should be protected from excessive moisture and conditions outside its intended use.
Can MDF Thickpanel be used in moisture-prone areas?
MDF Thickpanel is a regular-density MDF product and should not be treated as a moisture-resistant MDF board.
For applications where higher humidity or moisture exposure is expected, a product specifically designed for moisture resistance may be more appropriate.
Timberline’s MRX MDF is designed for applications where moisture resistance is required, while HMR 313 MDF provides another option for moisture-prone interior applications.
What sizes and thicknesses are available for MDF Thickpanel?
When selecting a panel, the required thickness should be based on factors such as the intended use, structural requirements, machining requirements and finishing method.
How do I choose the right MDF board for my project?
The right MDF product depends on the intended application and the environmental conditions in which it will be used.
For standard interior furniture and manufacturing applications, regular MDF such as Thickpanel can be suitable. Where moisture resistance is an important requirement, products such as MRX MDF or HMR 313 MDF may be considered instead.
Other factors such as thickness, surface requirements, machining needs and finishing method should also be considered before selecting the board.
