Joinery, furniture, mouldings, architraves, doors, shelving, wall linings, and partitions in laundries, bathrooms, and kitchens are just a few of the applications for MRX, which is bonded with a particular high moisture resistance binder.

MRX is made of dark PINK MDF boards that meet or surpass European moisture resistant standards.

What is MRX MDF?
MRX is a moisture-resistant MDF panel designed for applications where long-term stability and resistance to moisture are important. It is manufactured with a specialized high-moisture-resistance binder and has a fine texture, high bonding strength and inherent stability.

However, moisture-resistant does not mean completely immune to dimensional changes. The board’s performance will still depend on the level and duration of moisture exposure, installation method, edge protection and the conditions of the finished application.

Timberline currently lists MRX in a 1200 × 2440 mm sheet format with 10 mm and 16 mm thickness options.

The main consideration should be the environment in which the board will be used.

 

MRX is particularly suited to applications where higher humidity and occasional moisture exposure are concerns. For more general interior applications where moisture resistance is not a primary requirement, MDF Thickpanel may be more appropriate.

 

Another moisture-resistant option is HMR 313 MDF, which can also be considered when selecting a board for humid interior applications. The final choice should be based on the project’s environmental conditions, required thickness, machining requirements and intended use.
